World Ninepin Bowling Association

Who we are?

(WNBA) World Ninepin Bowling Association was founded at London 1973 from former FIQ (Federation Internationale des Quilleurs). FIQ was the world governing body of Tenpin Bowling and Ninepin Bowling. Tenpin Bowling was organised within the FIQ from WTBA (World Tenpin Bowling Association) and Ninepin Bowling from WNBA (World Ninepin Bowling Association). 2015 FIQ and WTBA merged to World Bowling. Therefrom WNBA is an associated member of World Bowling.

Actually WNBA has member federations in 28 countries in 3 continents (Europe, South America, Asia). Because of different kinds of lanes Ninepin bowling will be practised in 3 discipline associations (sections).

New WNBA member
We are pleased to announce that India became a member of the WNBA on 28. 8. 2023.

Meeting of IBF and WNBA presidents
WNBA president Petr Vaňura met in Kuwait with IBF president H.E. Sheikh Talal Mohammad Al-Sabah on March 18, 2023. The aim of the meeting was to clarify positions and agree on a new arrangement of mutual relations. The meeting was held in a very friendly spirit and both sides confirmed their willingness to reach an agreement. The next meeting is scheduled for early May 2023.

WNBA Conference 2023
The WNBA Conference took place in the Hallbergmoos (GER) on Saturday, February 25. The main point of the program apart from the classic agenda was the election of a new president of WNBA, as Thomas Berk (GER) resigned from this position. The current vicepresident Petr Vaňura (CZE) was elected and will lead the WNBA for the next two years until the next electoral conference.
